They once told me to get my head out of the clouds,
To stop daydreaming and get on with it.
So I took them by the hand,
Looked them in the eye,
And smiled.
We soared upward into an empty blue sky,
Leaving war, pain and trouble behind.
They squeezed my outstretched hand,
Looked me in the eye,
And smiled.
We gazed across a distant horizon,
Realising the world was beautiful from up here.
We watched the endless paradise below,
Looked it straight in the eye,
And smiled.
